Okay, so I don't mean to keep making weather/seasonal posts, but I feel the need to comment on the fact that my infatuation with Summer has, in fact, ended. I'm still thankful that Chas is out of school and that we don't have too much going on, but I'm over this heat, humidity, and bugs.
Today has been WONDERFUL! We had a great storm blow in yesterday evening and with it a lovely cool spell. It was downright chilly this morning. I found myself not only turning off the fans, but curling up with a throw blanket. It has warmed up this afternoon and the breeze has settled a bit, but it is still quite pleasant.
It really made me realize how much I love fall. I'm looking forward to cooler temperatures, but I'm still not too eager to wish away my summer. We really haven't had the time or ability to do much, yet. I hope to get to visit my family and friends back in Missouri and really hope Nathan gets to come for a visit as well.
One thing we were able to do was attend the Bristol 4th of July Parade. It is the oldest in the country. It doesn't mean a lot to many people, but I found it wonderful. I don't think it is something I would want to attend regularly, but it was great to be able to go. I am currently going through pics, that I hope to post soon.
If anything else interesting happens, I hope to post it as well!!
